Receptions for up to 160 guests

The Gold Hall is our wedding room: up to 160 guests, a wide dance floor with a lighting truss above it and space for a live band or DJ. For a smaller celebration, the Silver Hall suits 40 to 70 guests.

Show your wedding film, a photo montage or messages from family overseas on the large screen — whenever you want it during the evening.

About ceremonies

Selma House Events hosts wedding receptions. We do not claim that the venue is licensed for legal marriage ceremonies, so please plan your legal ceremony at a register office, place of worship or licensed venue.

If you would like a blessing or symbolic moment as part of your reception, tell us in your enquiry and we'll discuss what is possible.

Your suppliers, your style

With dry hire there is no compulsory catering. Many couples bring a caterer who knows their family's cooking or their culture's wedding traditions. The bar at the venue is available for your guests, and we can talk about décor and entertainment as optional extras.

Quotes and viewings

Every event is different, so we don't publish set packages or price lists. Tell us your date, guest numbers and what you have in mind, and our team will prepare a personalised quote for you.

We strongly recommend a viewing before you book — come and picture the day with us.
